Be aware that today is Friday the 13th so the month is almost half over.

As many of you know, my birthday was March 1st. My wife was kind enough to buy me some desk organizers and some models for my Hobby Room.

These are the whole set of organizers:

It took a short time only to get them built and these are how they look:

I have two each of these:

This is the final look of all of them in use:

These are the models I got from her too:

Before that all came in, a friend of mine had these two kits that he didn't want so he gave them to me:

That last one was a kit that I never knew existed. What a thrill it was to get that!

Finally, another friend of mine sent me some money for my birthday so I treated myself to these kits:

That last one is a two-in-one kit. Cool!

That's gonna keep me pretty busy for a month or two! LOL!

I originally wasn't going to go for one of these because of the price (when it came out) but a few people on this forum have been talking about them and it has slowly peaked my interest. The original release price down here at BNA is still horrific....

However I found a great deal on Ali Exp and scored it (delivered to the door) at less than half this price. To good a price to miss.
On its way.....

Two of the three pre-orders I had with Andy's came in yesterday and today. Not sure when the third one will come in. I am also pondering a Pre-order that Squadron has for a Nashorn kit. I read up on it a short while back and was rather impressed with what I learned so that vehicle has my interest piqued as well.

First off the new Gecko Models kit. In looking at the instructions it is kind of like a light WNW set with colors and paints called out through the booklet. It is also a large booklet with 74 steps to it. There is a lot to this beastie. In looking at the Pak 40 assembly and parts, they got it a lot closer to correct. A number of the parts that were omitted on the Das Werk Pak 40 are in this gun and mount. Also the opening for the sight looks to be done closer to correct than the mess that was on the Das Werk version. This is mostly looking at the instruction booklet and some of the parts. Definitely a "Whole lotta parts" in this box. I will have to reserve judgement on the fit and assembly till I get to it, but it seems quite good at first impression.

It also has full interior for the fighting compartment. No engine, but it does have transmission, drivers area, and full fighting compartment. It also has a PE fret and an aluminum barrel (or plastic if you would rather).

The second pre- order is Rommel's SdKfz 250/3 command car from Das Werk. This is the previous 250/1 with the addition of radios and extra antennas with a figure of Rommel in addition to the driver figure. It has a choice of 5 paint schemes with GREIF, ADLER, and IGEL from the Africa Corps. The two vehicles in grey and grey with yellow paint from South Russia, Summer of '42.
