The old boy passed away at around 3:45 PM Eastern. He was 14 1/2. I couldn't make it to the vet in time, but I think he had a stroke. Certainly hope he didn't suffer.

I'll get another one later, but I'm still keeping the name. Be good CR

That is sad but 14.5 years is a VERY long time for a dog and a sign that he was loved and cared for...

Regards,

Its always sad to loose a good friend weather they have two legs or four. I hope some other friend finds their way into your home.

I'm so sorry Chip, I know Krypto was a happy dog, you can see that in the picture. Like Saul said, they don't get that old without a lot of love.

We spoil ours to make up for the ones who can't be spoiled. :mpup

Aw, Chip- that makes me sad to hear it. I would have kept naming our dogs Megatron if the wife would let me. Here's to brave dog Krypto! :drinks

Thank you fellas- he was buried at Mom's - my Step Dad helped me dig the grave and Mom made a nice flower vase for his final. He's resting now in the family pet cemetery with about a dozen other dogs and cats. Don't worry, the ground here is just sand!
Animals are an extension of ourselves and the two of us shared some strange traits. - Have another, This was the first year I had him, outstanding animal. RIP big guy.....

I'm sorry to hear this Chip , ......... I've had more than my fair share of dogs in the last 50 some odd years and it has never been easy losing them .
All my dogs since I was about 17 have been named Cheyenne .

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family !!!

Thanks everybody, he died at home with me touching him - surreal to say the least, but after the scare right before Christmas it was not that unexpected. He's in great company now. hanging out in heaven, tearing stuff up- he was great at that.
