Had to brake out the polishing compound in order to remove fine scratches. Hopefully, there will be a chance to get some painting done today. Gary S.

The P-51 is our build the same kit contest for 2026. These contests have not done well in the past. Hopefully, there will be more than 3 or 4 kits completed.

Your's is looking good!

Spray can or airbrush?

I was using my airbrush. For some reason, water kept spitting out even on a dry day and caused little pinholes. The next day, I tried using a wide flat brush and mineral spirits to correct the flaws. Then bright boy brushed the entire model hoping that a little buffing would give a worn look. One screwup after another. Ended up having to lightly sand down the paint ridges and repolishing. So now it' ready for more paint .Which is going to have to wait because we are closing on our new house up in Jefferson tomorrow and it's time to start moving all of our stuff. Gary S.
