Kitty Hawk 1/32 T-6G Texan Sprue Shots

Kitty Hawk 1/32 T-6G Texan Box Art Added

It looks like there are Harvard markings there for a RCAF bird. So is the kit buildable as a Harvard or are the markings wrong? Also where would I find one Saul?
Thanks in advance.
James

I've seen it on pre-order at Pacific Coast Models for $79.95.

Cheers,
Rich

You building this Saul? Can a Canadian HArvard be built from it?

You building this Saul?

:rotf No James, this is not my build. If it were, I would have added the guns and rockets for the COIN aircraft flying over Africa. I had sent in photos of what I hoped would be included so now Kitty Hawk sent me these images but nothing about the sprues.

Looking at the box top, I doubt Harvard specific parts (long exhaust, & longer rear canopy) are included.

Looks like there's some seam issues. I'm starting to have second thoughts about panel line/seam line joints. Look at the gap there, impossible to fill and clean up where as if the gap was on a none panel line location you can sand fill/repeat. With the gap at the panel line itself you have to figure out another way to close the gap.

I see weapons! Also,. am I seeing things or are there two rear canopies and a long exhaust?

I like the looks of that kit so far. I just love all the hate I have been reading about it over on some other boards. People haven't even seen sprue shots until today and they are just whining about some cad pictures... :bang head :bang head :bang head

Let me guess, someone drawing lines on these images again?

That was actually done on another of Kitty Hawk's releases. For this it was the artwork, the supposition that the Harvard IV parts (at least the canopy rear and extended exhaust) weren't included but markings were, and so on...

to be honest, Kitty Hawk wasn't very forthcoming either. I thought this release was simply unarmed and I would have to wait for the next one for my African Dogs:

Eli Raphael is said to be working on decals for this release... I sent him the above and MANY more!

It looks like I could do a Canadian bird after all.

The Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum at Mount Hope (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) fly Harvards and offer trips in them for a fee.
