Kinetic

as you can see its been riveted to death although these are close up pictures.
so the question is....what to do with it ? I have seen a guy build this by filling the rivets with a mixture of super glue and talc ? which sounds like a load of work with an uncertain out come so i wondered what would happen if i sprayed it with a filler primer then sanded it back with 1200 grit or finer.

any thoughts ?
Are they really invisible? It is not a supersonic fighter where drag is an issue.

Do you think thats a repair ?
No, that is a strengthening plate near the exhaust. Added later. Note it is on the other side as well:

I updated the image so, by clicking it, you see the walkaround on Prime Portal. All photos by Bill Spidle. I have full sized images from him but need his permission to post.

I think that panel behind the blast deflector is either an AV8B mod or a general Mk2 Harrier mod as its not on the GR3

I believe it is added during overhaul for the USMC AV-8B and later. Best would be to look at the one you plan to depict in the time frame chosen. No sense in adding things which weren't there for the Falklands, for example.

Ah yes well the proposed build is an airfix 1/24 Harrier and they are all too old to be anything other than Mk1, GR3 or FS1.
