Here is a 95% complete build on the bench for final assembly. The kit is the venerable Hasegawa offering in 1/48 kit #09806. The kit was bought off ebay and had bad decals so I sourced an aftermarket set from Bestfong out of Taiwan. The plane represents a machine from the 37th Chutai which was an advanced fighter school in 
. Still needs exhausts, drop tanks, and landing gear. The kit is nice but pales next to the Tamiya offering.
