just got this....

For those who are following, an up date on the PACV.
An intresesting kit, though it does have one or three propblems, small parts fit is bad in places, over engineered in others.
Oh well, do as I can...must get back to that Connie LOL.....maybe after the Little bird and the Cobra.....

That floor looks excellent....very weathered and dirty as I imagine it would be.

Impressive!

Actually this one looks kind of cool!
Well, I did say patience is a virtue! Academy's next release is the OH-5D and look at the decals, @Heavens Eagle!
@Darkhorse, one step closer to a 'Nam Loach!

One thing though, the Japanese sharkmouth OH-6D never flew marked like that as it was simply a vinyl sticker put on during the static display during the open house. Look closely at 31188 where it is more obvious:

48th, Apologies, it is 1/35th scale. It still has the too long skid legs, the 5 bladed rotor head, the thicker tail boom but the canopy is complete.

Finished off the academy job.....looks okay at a distance LOL.
I have plenty of time to wait for a good 1/48 kit.
Putting that mouth on the PACV was a real chore, but certainly looks really neat on it!

Wasn't happy with the B26's paint and have stripped it right back, gutted the inside minus the cockpit and actually corrected the twist in the airframe....another dog? Perhaps but will persist in it.
Is it still okay to hand paint camo? Can't seem to spray SEACAM pattern...

Something I have done is scan the pattern into your computer, resize it to match the model and print the pattern out. Then cut out so you can mask off the first color, and with something under the edge to lift it a little spray the second color. Third color the same thing only mask over the first two colors. You can use a small roll of blue tack or silly putty in under the edges to hold it up above the surface a short ways.
