Seeing as not many guys know me or what I build I figured I'd post some pics of my work from the last year or two.

You may find it irritating, but it seems I never finish anything before moving on...so a lot of these pics are just "where I am now" photos

"Through Hell or High Hedgerows"

Tasca M4a1 early converted to mid production, figures by Nemrod, everything else I built from scratch. Entered it into last years IPMS UK nationals in the dio category and managed to earn myself a silver which I was chuffed about!

Italeri Staghound

Built OOB for a contest in which I'm up against your very own Ken Abrams...never a good man to be up against !!! particularly when he's got that crazy look in his eye.

SWMBO?

Some really nice work Jon,

The presentation on the diorama was top drawer!

Very impressive all around!

Bob

You have raised the wunder-bar on this one me old mucka
Haven't peepered the bocage dio for a while; she is a real beaut!
Good luck against Camo (Harry Dunn) with that wheely, innit.
I'll have you know that seeing the Sherman and diorama has unleashed the creative jooces and I am at present nutting out a new scene rich with the muds..
Oh, and get the missus a metal link bracelet. Strangely it comes as a pair, you have to assemble it yourself, and has end connectors? :blink
Brad :side:

Awesome stuff, Jon! I love how your did the layout for your diorama - brilliant!

David

Really nice work. I really like the bocage dio.
What tracks do you need for the Tiger?
James

thanks guys, a whole lot of work went into that diorama!

James - I want to put fruil tracks on the Tiger, just normal combat tracks. They look nice and they're "working" tracks so they'll sag nicely. COUGH- I also totally screwed up on one side of the DML tacks -COUGH

Brad - I've instructed the townfolk to lock up their daughters as you have your jooces flowing. Let me know when it's safe!

I have a set of mid-late. If thats what your looking for drop me a pm with a snail mail addy and I'll throw them in the mail.
James

That's a very kind offer mate, I will send you a PM

thanks
Jon

Absolutely love the presentation on "Through Hell or High Hedgerows" -- where did you come up with the idea for that?

It started out as an email discussion with my good friend Paul Rains via email. He said he'd always wanted to see it. It then progressed into google sketchup ideas until we were both happy that what was being drawn up was unique and worth pursuing.

It almost changed a couple of times but I somehow always managed to pull it back round to the original idea, and in time for the IPMS UK nationals too. It is by far the only model I'm truly happy with. I did everything exactly how I wanted to and took plenty of time on the details.

If only I was a better figure painter!
