It's Christmas!!! What'd ya get???

Thought it might be fun to post all the goodies we received this year!

-Due to the issues with shipping, I have not actually GOTTEN any of this, but it's good to know it's on the way!

Hobbyboss Merkava IV with Trophy. I don't see that many peeps posting this build, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Also got the 3-D printed ball-chain armor from FC Model Trend and the Legend Resin Storage

Also found a Hardcover 1st Edition copy of one of my favorite books, RED ARMY

And lastly my best 'score' in a long while. I got the seminal book of Israeli Tank Fighting, THE HEIGHTS OF COURAGE, not only in Hardcover...but autgraphed too!

So come on gang...Post 'Em!!!

Carol and I are at the point that we have too much stuff. I have book shelves full of books, a large stash, Carol has tons of fabric... so we asked the kids for gift cards. So far I have $100 to Sprue Brothers and Carol has some cards to one of her favorite fabric stores.

More importantly (for me) is that I will get to spend the holiday knowing that my family is whole. There was a period of time when my children were strangers to me; I didn't see my son for 25 years and that was very painful. Now we are together. That is the true miracle.

Those armor cars are cool, that 3D printed chain and balls is pretty slick! Amazing what can be done now. Here's what I got.

I did okay for myself. I Got myself the CSM Russian armoured car like Jeeves and also a T-34/85 1960 to build a Yemen T-34 for work. From the family I did very well with 2 books and 2 kits.

The Elephant has a full interior which is cool. The Zeppelin I am really looking forward to building.

I had to make a trip to Alberta a week ago so I stopped in a Calgary hobby shop and found these two as a present to myself. I've been wanting a pocket battleship for a long time.

It tuned out to be a nice modeling Christmas, after all! My step-kids gave me a gift card to Sprue and I picked up the 'Stangs and my sister got me the Hurricane. There was also a TBM themed t-shrt and a set a USAF beer glasses from Wendell August Forge in PA.

Let's see how they do when my birthday rolls around in 4 days.

Nothing to show... yet. I did treat myself to Sprue Brothers 10% off $50 or more by ordering 2 1/48th scale P-51D 82102x OverTrees and a set of BaracudaCals 1/48th Scale P-51D Stencils. However, I went the cheap shipping route so can calmly wait (not as though I haven't been treating myself all year long).

Just got gift cards in the mail from my son... Winking Lizard! Carol and I can now afford to go out for dinner on my birthday and have a. celebratory drink or three. (Not that we don't eat out far too often! But then, that is better than eating her cooking.)

I also discovered, whilst tearing down shipping boxes that Carol bought something from ScaleHobbyist and had it shipped to her mother's... Hmmmm... 3 days until my birthday... could it be something good?

I got a 8x28 lean-to to add on to the shed.

Some assembly required, no stinkin' instructions! Call to arms (or drills) has been issued for the local man power. We should see action at about 10am before it starts to rain.....
