Is this guy the ultimate scratch builder ?

I'm only half way down the page, its amazing! Looks like a machinist who got into scale modeling.
I had some modeling subjects come up in my youtube feed, Architectural Modeling. You know the accurate scale models of buildings and stuff? So part 1 of the how to was...take the layer out of the Cad drawing and print it out on your 4k 3D printer then attach it to the previous layer you printed.

This is pure artistry :notworthy

Awesome stuff there. It brought back memories of when I was much younger. One of my parents friends was making a car, cant remember which one, and machined everything for it. He showed me how to work brass flat stock into a fender. I regret not trying to get into machining when I was young.
Nothing but respect for those who can take plain metal and create such a masterpiece.

Once you have scratch built your car.................you need to scratch build a driver

The build shown is a very impressive model indeed !
My personal view is that the late Gerald A Wingrove is the ultimate scratch builder of model care who worked in 1/15th scale on his fully detailed models. In his early professional career he built a series of 1/20th scale models for the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.
There are of course other well known scratch built car modellers like Michel Conti, Manuel Olive Sans, Guissepe Da Corte, Rex Hays, Sean McKenna, Francisco Pulido, Henry Baigent, Carlo Brianza and Marshall Buck to name a few.
Having named some of the professionals of this art, there are also many who get great satisfaction from the scratch building process as their main hobby who's models in many cases are every bit as good as models built by the professional. We get to see their work often shared on this and other forums.

No wonder I did not recognise the name as he is a wingy thingy scratch builder.
The ones I posted are primarily auto model scratch builders.

However, I have seen that Spitfire model at Hendon some time ago. One can hardly miss it !
