IPMS U.S.A. REGION 5 CONTEST PIC'S

IPMS West Central Missouri hosted the Region 5 model contest and convention last Saturday. There were over 400 entries. I met up with IronMike and Leopard2 at the show and had great time. Mike will have more pictures to post when he get's back home, but for now here are some the the picture that I took of the many models that were on display. Enjoy!

Thanks guys! Mike has many more pic's and haven't uploaded all I have. One of the big models was a 1/96 Saturn V rocket with a scratch built launch tower.

Man, does vacation ever go by fast!! I had a ball in Kansas City with my old friends! We got to the venue pretty early and met up with Terry, who promptly won an excellent raffle prize!

The show was packed with great builds and lots of vendors.

Leopard2 says he likes this one!

Poor dude was putting his Panther on the table when the track came off, Terry was prepared and offered his CA to fix the problem!

All scratch built and did not place!!

The IPMS Plastic Surgeons, West Des Moines, Iowa

I could not get a shot that would do this build justice, it was too big! The engineering of it is fantastic, the whole build is supported by the rod to the base and is balanced perfectly!!

The Silk Purse From A Sow's Ear build.

Rhino got a little carried away at the vendors, so we had to improvise.

We made a little detour on the way home, just HAD to take these pix!!
