I'm going to try something here for the New Year.

Master at Arms
There's always reasons why not to hit the bench, but a lot of them aren't valid (like sitting on the coach), so I'm going to try a new approach for a while to see if I can regain my mojo.

1. I'm going to build something OOB from the stash each and every week.
2. I'm going to also pull a shelf queen out to get done as well.
3. Progress on a major project too, each week.

I just need to get the AB in my hand on a regular basis, I'm so glad when I build but can always find a reason not to. When there's an hour here and there, I'm going to try to get something done that I enjoy, instead of reading the news or surfing the web.

I'm not sure where to post these builds, I guess I'll just add them to their respective forums, but here's a group shot of today's work.

I started the Fine Molds Perry as the OOB yesterday. A perfect example, I had an hour of free time before the Giant game yesterday and I just crapped out instead of heading to the bench. So I squeezed in an hour today during lunch. I'll detail paint and weather the cockpit tonight.

The creature is the shelf queen. Sometime last year I took built the Moebius kit, set it on it's side, added the weeds, etc. primed and then it sat. I pulled it down, painted the black in the shadows and on the base, painted grey on the rest and Futured it. I'm planning on painting it monochromatic with the light through water effect and heavy washes to bring out detail.

Hahahaha thats about my reasoning these last few weeks with the bunch of Quickbuilds I did.

Love the idea of the creature cant wait to see it done Now where the hell did I put my Alien.

I have been steadily working on my CTA3 build. While adding the Eduard PE, I have not really done much else to it other than just build and paint on it.

While I did take a slight detour the other day and assemble the frame on my BIG Falcon, and then another day to put together a bunch of photos to post, I have resisted being a couch potato and been working on the Do-17 today (which will be my last day off from my New Year's break)

Have made some nice progress on it today and am prepping the bomb bay PE now. Just have not figured out what version bombs I want to load up. I also finally was able to get my nice tablet connected to the internet. Believe it or not, I can tether my desktop to it and work on the internet and do posts now too. Cheaper than my USB dongle from AT&T by 50% (and the tablet has internet now :woohoo: ) Also has unlimited data vs only 8 Gig per month through ATT&T. Think I got a winner on this! (The Sprint ads apparently are not lying) (y)

I remember going to the Airways walkin picture show when I was a kid to see "Creature from the Black Lagoon".
For a dollar you could get a ticket, popcorn,a large soda and a candy bar,see a double feature with a real cartoon.
That was 1954 and a good year it was too. :D
