Feeling my way into this stuff that dosnt fly here with a Landrover in an awful pink plastic !!

I'm not building OTB as i want to make some alterations so its going to be a generic desert raider rather than a SAS Pink panther. Nearly all the desert stufff i have seen started life army green and got sprayed sand along the way so I'm trying to keep the sand colour on the visble surfaces only.
Bear with me as i am making it up as i go along :) for a start i think the spare wheel needs to go on the hood !

Ahhh man I didn't know it was molded in pink. I would have to paint it fast.

With enough speed and a high cliff i think it can fly.... :pilot

yes the colour of the plastic is awful  but it looks like you have a good start there (y)

I'm having lots of fun with this, glad i bought the PE set as well. After years of buttoning up PE inside cockpits etc never to be seen again here is something where your PE work can be seen :)

Looks like your getting the feel for it and found an advantage to armor at the same time (y)

Re: Messing about with a Landrover :)

Sorry this has not turned out to be a very interesting thread as its not really a WIP. I have nothing to teach you armour guys  as i feel my way with this. what i thought would be a quick easy kit is eating up the hours mainly due to the fact there is more PE parts than plastic if you add the Eduard sheet to this. That said it wouldn't be much of a kit without the PE. The real + side is that every bit of PE is on show although once painted its not obvious i grant you !! ;) Its become lots of little kits that need to come together now.
Weathering ?? well i suppose it doesn't need a lot as it doesn't rain in the desert and there is little mud ! A few chips I suppose and some faded paint maybe .
Any way this is where i am at now, nearly there :)

It needs a little weathering. maybe a light umber wash to pick out the detail but its served its purpose to get me into armour mode for the CTA (y)

Not bad at all,I like it,Paddy! (y) (y)
I do agree with yourself that it could use a bit of weathering.[or ofcourse a lot of weathering if you like to do so]

Looking forward to another armour build of yours![but please don't stop showing those superb aircraft builds] :)

Greetings,Ron.

Cheers Ron ;) don't worry, I'm missing flying things already

this is quite heavily weathered now but strangely it dosent really show in photo's.
