I AM ALIVE!!!!

Sorry I have been AWOL lately guys and gals. Been trying a bunch of new stuff modeling related and now back actually working on models!!!! Learned how to make resin casts!! Been playing with sculpy and other moldable media. But I'm back working on a 1/24 Bf-109-G2 with G. Rall's markings.

Well show us what you learned ! :popcorn

Well the learning curve was quite high on resin casting and I had a great tutor (Jerry Rutman). I got the Kit at Hobby Lobby and by trial and error I got a decent result for a first stab.

I am building a 1/24 Me-109G2 and the tires on the G2 were ok but the vinyl tires don't ahve a long life and the Trumpeter hubs were not detailed enough. Here's the finished product:

These will also go on my Airfix Emil so that's why the four. The top left was heated and pressed to simulate weight. Most resin tires look too heavy for the 109 and most are not angled correctly IMO.

What's the verdict for my maiden voyage?

I'll txt you my secret sauce. JK I used the Trumpy Tire and made a "franken hub" from several parts from other kits and a little sculpy and evergreen.
