Huertgen Forest

Hi folks,
The missus and I went to visit the Hürtgenwald (Huertgen Forest) in Germany on our vacation.
Might as well share it for you guys,as most of you will never have the chance to go there.

First things first,for the ones who never heared of Huertgen Forest:

To me it's hard to believe that the area,once such a sinister battlefield,is so beautiful and peacefull in the summer.
From the hamlet of Simonskall and surroundings we took a walk through the Kall Valley and also followed a part of the infamous Kall-Trail.
On several places we did see little monuments for German and U.S units involved in the Battle for the Huertgen Forest.
