Help removing Bondo Glazing Putty

On the 747-400 build I'm working on, I used Bondo Glazing Putty to fill the windows in. After 4 applications of putty, I still have very visible windows, and I'm tired of dealing w/ it, and beginning to get worried about how much sanding I've done to the fuselage to clean it all up.

So what I want to do now is to remove the putty and fill the windows w/ strip styrene. But I have to figure out how to get the putty out. I've got Purple Power degreaser that I know works amazingly well for removing paint, but I dont know how it works for removing putty.

I guess the option of last resort is going at it w/ a knife or needle to dig the putty out but I'd prefer something that takes less manual labor and less likely to damage the model.

Do you have some old liquid glue? If so add plastic sprue to it to make a plastic putty. Then paint it on over top the glaze. Then when dry lightly sand down (I use fine steel wool). That should blend everything in I think.

Geez, I wish I'd thought of that, probably would have been easier than what I've gone ahead w/. Seen that tip suggested before for filling seems & such.

I dunked the fuselage in Purple Power to start stripping things, its loosened up the putty some. I decided to take the huge step and split the fuselage back apart. I found out when I stripped my Draken, that Purple Power will dissolve super glue, so the weight I assembled inside the nose of this one came apart and loose, so I had to fix it.

So now I'll go in and remove all the putty and then cut out the pillars between the windows and glue in styrene rod stock that I've got and go from there.

I tell ya, this whole build has been a frigging nightmare. If I hadnt already spent the money on decals, and swapping engines w/ a guy in Australia, I'd probably just trash it, but I've got too much invested in it now, to give up.
