sombitch! I've run into that also Steve. Mine was a Microsoft branded camera, planned obsolesces comes from the marketting department.

Well, first it wouldn't let me test my sound, nor any settings, so it's a POS, file 13. I've gone thru all the crap to get it recognized, etc., nothing. Says drivers are up to date, etc. Still no-go. Time for a new one.
