First of all let me thank you for your kind words but all you achieved has been thanks only to you!
Now getting down to your figure, things are looking great, but let me give you a couple of hints.
As a general rule, when I paint leather/skins I use oils, because of their satin finish.
Try to get go over the acrylic base for the tanned skin with oil colours, use the transparency of the medium to blend the base and give that satin finish.
Last thing as for the straps, tring to draw a line, using an ochre oil colour, on the side edges of each strap.
