German (Insert Long German word here) - Truck

Thanks Bob, really means a lot :notworthy

I'd say it's coming close to half of what I want to put in there, there's one or two bigger pieces, rest are tiny. I am hoping it will be ready by the end of Feb, that will give me two months to work on the little dio, but, one step at a time.

Many thanks for the compliments :notworthy

Took couple more pics - more bits in place now, the drum near the lathe, the drill table with drawers sticking out just a bit (there will be some tools inside), couple of jacks (not in place yet), frame started appearing in the left hand side, fire extinguisher in place, have done more weathering on the right hand side to replace the blotches with streaks.
Tracks in position and weathering "begun has" burnt sienna heavier wash than normal.
Heaps more needs doing still :blink

OK that's it, I found my insperation. Haven't been in the garage in a week because really not sure what I want to do. I want to do this based on my GMC Hardtop truck. :drinks

I hope I can do as well as you have Laurence. :good:

MP - I am looking forward to seeing your truck - no doubt the result will be awesome :drinks

Terry, Luiz, Gatto - humbling compliments that's for sure :notworthy feel free to sprinkle some opinions, criticism, ideas - would be welcome (y)

This is great, Laurence. There's a Dutch guy over on Kiwi Modeller who has a similar style with 1:24 trucks. Really close attention to detail and lots going-on. Not something that I could ever emulate but I really like this approach.

Bit more done. Some more gear added to the right hand side in front of the air compressor, then tools on the left hand side, pics to show the exterior as well.

Did I say few days ago that I think this is coming close to 50% done? I was wrong - it feels like 75% or something. But, carry on with patience :soldier

Thanks again for your most kind comments fellas :notworthy

This thing is 50% done I'd say - I know I said it before, but this time I really hope I am right.

Stuff done since last update:
- wires laid, all braces are recycled PE, cut to size (sort of, wanted it not-perfectly identical)
- Light in the middle attached to the cross beam, light switch, the globe is a fashion pin, "dremelled" to size (half the original size) but it's nice and round and it has a wire going to somewhere in a box (very descriptive :smack )
- Main fuse box behind the lathe. Hochspannung - do all German words have to be THAT long ???? - try to fit that one in on the lid :bang head
- Small jack under the table to the left, a hook and a tow cable to the side.
- A painted can to the right - DIXOL - Kuhlwasser - another short one for the fans :blink only because I thought, well, if they fix engines and that, coolant is a nice thing to have in hand too.

Anyway - more to come. Ordered some laser paper to print my own decals, got some stuff I want to decorate this truck with so fingers crossed it will work out nicely. Thanks for watching gents :notworthy

Finished is a relative thing, Da Vinci rarely finished anything, so you're in good company. Everything is shaping up nicely, looking forward to the next installment. (y) :drinks
