After our last announcement about the publishing of Xtreme Build participants, some new developments have taken place. Xtreme Magazine will publish but we must ask all participants of any of the Xtreme group builds to take new pictures of their finished contributions!
We were informed that the photographs taken don't meet the minimum requirements for printing!
The required size for photos is:
1800x1200 in size with a resolution of 300ppi!
The resolution of the images needed would, at a minimum, be 2 Megapixels (more is better!)
RAW format would be ideal but not everybody has a DSLR. We do ask you to watch that the compression ratio for jpeg format does not exceed 1:12!
That sounds like rocket science but in fact it isn't - just take the pictures of your finished entry again, take care for good lighting, a neutral background, focus and framing - do not resize them, just keep them in the original size how you transferred them from your camera to your HDD! It is for the benefit of the presentation of YOUR work!
We will inform you when it will be time for the XMM entries to be forwarded to the staff! At the moment we work on the Xlbl GB photos! A separate announcment will keep you up to date
