FRANK madness

Been a bit and lots have happened. Valentine's day i had another heart attack.in the hospital for a week. Took 2 tries to put a stint in. I'm good now. Surprised Saul didn't say something. lol. But back to the build. Wheelwells don't have any depth to them. Thought about it a lot. This is what I ended up with. Not much but it does help 20210306_150233.jpg20210306_135810.jpg

Glad you are doing better Harv! The gear wells do look a little better.

I ran into a similar kind of deal when building an ancient TriMaster Fw-190 many moons ago. The gear well was a separate piece that went between the top and bottom of the wings. I thinned out the top wing and the top of the well part and raised it a good 1/16th of an inch in depth in the wing. Of course I had to then fix other things, but it turned out quite well and did look a lot better.

I thought about cutting it out, slicing it, half a dozen others things, but in the endi took an easier road. Wont see much of it anyway

Harv, I'm glad to hear you came through your heart attack okay and that your stint was successful. You work is looking excellent so far. Keep going man!

I had mine on the 8th. Two stints and am walking around in a LifeVest. But I get extra time to myself for building. Now if I can just finish a kit!

See? I didn't mention it either. Glad you're both here to continue.

Regards,

A friend sent me a engine for this. Its pretty ruff and needs cleaning up. Its from Engines and Things. Anyway, since the fuselage halves have been sanded smooth, I had to come up with some sort of bracing for the engine. This is a start and it seems I got the depth right for placement......harv
