The second color was painted yesterday. I was able to mask off the nose and center spine camo, but not the wings or tail. They were just over sprayed a little. I made mask for these areas by first m drawing the shape onto index cards and then. cutting them out to use as templates over masking tape on a glass surface. Later I plan to go back over with the light gray. Gary S.

The fit of the exhaust nozzles is very poor. Had to break out the file in order to square up the rear of the fuselage. Then filler was needed for some small gaps. There's an opening between the nozzles than should be filled which I discovered too l a re to do anything about. As shown, the detail is so much better on Revell's F-15E kit. I am in the process of masking off the rear of the nozzles before painting a shinier silver. Gary S.

Night and day differences! Sometimes it is best to take the best parts and combine the kits as I believe, in this case, it would be cheaper than the nicest F-15A kit now out there, Great Wall Hobby. Yes, I am aware of the Hasegawa, Tamiya, and Academy kits out there...

In my opinion the Revell F-15E kit is on par with any other brand.
This afternoon, the silver was painted with a different shade on some panel lines. Tomorrow it will get a coat of Future in prep for the decals. I also got a start on painting the missiles. Gary S.

Applied the screaming chicken decals this morning. It would have been easier if I had cot off the out of tubes first or not installed them per the instructions on the inside of the fuselage. Maybe separating the tubes from the backing plate and only glueing the backing plate on the inside. The attach the tubes later. Live and learn. Should be a genius by now. Hopefully, I can mix up some matching paint color for touching up. The fins are just set and not glued yet. Gary S.

Time to put that Christmas glitter to a good use on the tail lights. After chopping off the curved portion of the light, I glued a small piece of silver glitter. Then using a red sharpie on the right colored it red. A small amount of clear epoxy was applied with a toothpick. Gary S.
