Dragon Tiger I Mit Zimmerit

Great job Mike!

The beautifull paintjob and the weathering makes the zimmerit looks very nice! Love it!! :woohoo:

Erik

Hey, thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words! I am planning a base for this one, Adam, not sure exactly what yet, but have some ideas.

Mmmmm .... :cheer: ... one of my favourite Tigers .....

... nice camo ... nice and warm colors ... excellent ...

I really want to make a 1/35 tank with zimmerit ... I have some ideas here and there about zimmerit in my head ....

.. may be soon ...

Meantime, I´ll follow for post with great interes!

Hi Mike!
Looks like you had a really good experience with #6383 eh? I actually quite enjoyed building them in retrospect despite reservations on the moulded Zimmerit. You have captured the rugged menace of the late Tiger 1 with your camo and finishing, a job really well done.

Cheers for sharing. Phil. B)

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been so long between posts, but these figures are driving me crazy! I was following the interactive figure painting tutorial, but seem to have lost something in the translation! They were either too tan or looked like mimes! I have finally struck a happier medium, although I may completely rework them. The Tiger, however is pretty close to done, still need a little wash here and there and some late spring dust. Oh well, here goes.....

My wife is still a little miffed from the sterilizing the branches in the microwave episode (don't leave them in for more than a minute at a time or they will start to burn and STINK!!) I think the vehicle turned out close to the ref photo, still not happy with Hans und Franz!

Comments, suggestions, snickers and giggles welcome!

I like it!! They dont look like Arnolds, nor do they look like night of the living dead. I think you got it right on the money.

Nice build Mike [ snicker ] , the figs don't look bad [ giggle ] , .................

Really , a very nice build man !!!
Looks like the photo ref. to me , cept the photo lacks color .

I hate painting figs. , ........ paint , observe , ...... remove paint , repaint , observe , have another beer , observe , repaint etc.

They look pretty good to me ..........

I like this build. You've put alot of time and effort into the camouflage paint and weathering. I like this very much. And don't feel alone when it comes to figures, I have the same problem. I never feel they look good enough for the model. But as to your reference photo, I think it's Tamiya that makes a Marder I or II winter crew with a figure who has his hands buried in his pockets like the one in the photo. In fact, it's almost exactly like the guy in the photo. Keep up the great work and keep posting pictures. Later tomater.

Thank you very much, Chris and Dave! I appreciate the words, guess now I'll have to finish it!

MIKE,

COOL CAT !! I dig th Camo & that Tiger I specifically !! I'd like to recreate that exact picture  in a Dio !!! Great Job !!! That Camo is Bangin' !! :ro:

ERIK

Thanks Dave & Erik! This is my first attempt at replicating a specific vehicle, so it's not exactly the same as the reference pix, but tried to get it close. I have a base in progress, but it's been so hot here, it's hard to get time to put the finish on! :whhh

Thanks Bob! From you, that's a big compliment! Tim, still too hot here and too much work going on to get the base finished. Did you get the files I sent you?

Wow Mike, you really got a lot of irons in the fire.Jagdpanther and ISU-152, I missed this one early on ,but the outcome is great.I really enjoyed this one myself (y) yes the figures look good !!
