DO YOU LIKE TRAINS TOO? "NEW ADDITION"

I am getting ready to start on only my second diorama and it will be called "DO YOU LIKE TRAINS TOO?". I am a little intimidated by dioramas because every aspect of modeling is touched on and if any one of them is not done well it effects the whole project. I have decided not to reveal the theme of the dio as I want you to figure that out as we go along, but I think it will become clear soon enough. One of the main components of this diorama will be the Trumpeter 1/35 scale BR52 locomotive and that is where we will start. I will be doing a early/pre-war black and red paint scheme because I want the locomotive to be the lure that draws the viewer into the scene. As we go along I will be adding several figures and other equipment so stay tuned. While this project won't measure up to a Bob Letterman standard I hope it will tell the story I am shooting for.

:woohoo: This one i'm really looking forward to see come alive!
Working on a train myself a little now and then, the WR 360 C12 Diesel locomotive from Trumpeter.
Any aftermarket stuff going in to this one?

I finished step 1 of the locomotive. It hit me just how big this thing is. The frame is well over a foot long. :blink

This is gonna rock! I built the Trumpeter 1/72 scale version of this same engine; I have two WC-360 engines from Trumpeter at the painting stage now. I can't wait to see more!

Thanks for stopping by!! Looking at the parts I have a lot of pin marks to fill and I have already come across some flash. So there's a lot of part clean up to do. Always my favorite part of model building. :bang head

Yeah, I remember that from mine as well. Still, it does turn out great.

Here's a little inspiration for you, even though I didn't do the same paint scheme as you plan to do:

Looking forward to more!

Looks great!

Didn't get to work on it last night so I guess I've already broken my promise. I did however recieve some Voyager photo etch for it yesterday.
