In 1967 one of the greatest movies ever was released. "The Dirty Dozen". If the movie was re-made ..................... who would be the top pick to play the part of the "major".

Knowing Hollyweird, they would probably use Tom Cruise. But the bigger question is, why remake it?

What war movie NEEDS to be remade?

Midway! Just how many fighters did Charlton Heston's character fly on his last mission?
 
Oooo...I certainly would go for a new Midway movie...CGI or not-- anything with a Dauntless would be awesome- although Hollywood would find a way to throw a gleaming Mustang in there just for kicks :pilot
 
That made me LOL Mike, Mustangs at Midway.... yes, if Hollywood can show Mustangs as FW190s (what was that movie??) I'm sure they can figure out how to get them on Midway island.

strange enough i had to think of both movies the last weeks and always thought "how cool would it be if they were remade with a current all star ensemble"

but "dirty dozen"? no! that movie is a classic that should never be remade! same with "cross of iron" ... doing a remake of any of them would be heresy!
