Desert War Series - the 25 pounder

Desert War Series - update Opel Blitz

Looks cool, very dynamic. Is the soldier meant to be getting the basket back or dropping stuff?

Great looking Opel, if mine looks half as good as yours I would be very happy.

@ Hi Ron,

I hope the man likes the painting :) :)

@ Hi James,

Still thinking how to finish the situation :pinch:
I need something not too heavy in his hands, otherwise he woulkd break his back..

@ Hi matrixone,

Just checked your Blitz, havent been around for a while
Dont worry, so far its outstanding ! (y)
Real life weathering means: make it irregular, with some unexplainable spots and scratches here and there.
And dont be afraid for color differences, thats natural, faded, clear etc.
You will be fine !!

Thanks for the kind words Willem, the work you and Luiz did on your Opel trucks is light years ahead of mine but I have learn by my mistakes.

Desert War Series - update Panzer IV

Hi all

First desert dio done (see the real thing), here is pzIV
I dont want all vehicles heavy weathered (not realistic), so this one is pretty fresh, only slightly weathered, just dusty.

Desert War Series - update "Italian Steel"

Hi all

Update on my desert series, here is some Italian tanks, 75/18 Semovente and 13/40
These are very old Italeri's, completeley rebuilt and repainted.
The tankers got new Royal Model heads which are much better.
My first attempts with pigments...
For the complete dio go to the Real thing !

Desert War Series - update "Fiat-Spa TL37"

Hi all

Some progress.
Two figures done and one vehicle almost ready: stowage has to be painted and some final finishing (pigments, dust)

This Fiat-Spa TL37 was in fact an artillery tractor, but was often used for other purposes like recon, due to their reliability.
Italian wheeled vehicles were superior to German ones, in opposition to the tanks.

Thanks all for your kind words !

@Phil: I appreciate a "clean" build as much as you.
But on a battlefield-diorama its not always the right choice, evident B)
