Delays

Encountered another temporary modelling ‘hold’ when I got back to NZ. The nozzle of my Iwata Revolution BR has somehow developed a split whilst I was back in the UK… not certain how that happens whilst it was ‘laid up’ !! – anyhoos the result is now I need to find a supplier of Iwata spares here in NZ or (more likely) have one sent from England.

Either way any spraying will be delayed for a couple more weeks. Not that I’m too worried, plenty of building I can get on with in the mean-time !!

Hmmmm seems to be homesick and did not like beeing left home alone :facepalm
Hope it gets sorted soon

Could have been the pressure built up, might be a good thing to back that needle out while stored up. I think I've read somewhere that is suggested.

Sorry to hear this Ian, Sending :zen to the gods of fast delivery

Sorry about your BR nozzle failure.

When I put mine back together after cleaning I put only light pressure against the needle when I push it towards the nozzle before tightening the needle chuck.

The only time I had a nozzle split on me was on my Badger 150, my Revolution BR has been in use for four years with no trouble yet (knock on wood).

Thanks lads appreciate the feedback. Because I knew I was going to be away for almost a month I disassembled the brush completely, left the nozzle, difuser and nozzle cap in a shallow bath of cellulose thinner, knowing that they're simply metal parts, so shouldn't react.... Very odd.

Could be that in some way the cellulose bath weakened the thin metal in the nozzle, then simply re-inserting the needle was enough to split it. Had mine three years and this is the first prob.... it's been worked hard in that time too !!
