This has been a great discussion! I think it is good to get these opinions out in the open for the public to view. We need to hash things out and see if our personal ideas hold water. I posted this thread to provoke discussion and it has done that magnificently. You guys have discussed the whole gamut of perspectives within this subject, but we need not be divided into two camps. My personal belief is that both approaches are of equal weight. That is to say we should be able to communicate in a kind way to each other the qualities or discrepancies in each other’s work. We have here on Modelers Alliance the full range of modelers from master modelers to beginners and ALL are welcome. None should fear to post their work because the whole purpose of this site is modeling and we want to see it. We have always promoted this site as a relaxed, safe, and kind place to come and share our love of this art form. Through this discussion you the members have, for anyone who has read it, let it be known that this forum will not tolerate bullies, snobs, instigators, flame warriors, or any other troll activity on this site. Not to say that there isn’t the occasional disruption in our little utopia here, but be advised the “Troll Patrol” is ever watchful. Finally I would like to thank all those who participated in this discussion. Through your give and take on this thread you have promoted this site better than any statement the staff could make. I think this topic has run its course and there is little more to say so I will let this thread run for a few more hours and then I’m going to lock it. And again…….Thank you!
