CAN/AM CON 2024

This show usually alternates between the New York and Vermont sides of Lake Champlain, but hasn't taken place since 2019 due to COVID and other barriers. They shattered records this year though with 53 registrants and 292 models entered. I brought a few pieces to support my VT friends but everyone brought their A game. The Canadians did well as did some of my friends there. Judged some categories and touched base with some good buddies. Here are a few dozen of my favorites...

Sci-Fi-- I didn't get too many of these as I had to start judging as I got to this table and never really got a chance to get back, but I figured Saul would like this one:

Wish I had gotten some of the later entries, but between judging and chatting with friends I didn't get the chance...need to up my game next year. It was a great show though and a beautiful drive through Vermont.

Thanks for the report Mike. Good looking models, really like the one with the kite dragging the kid.

Haha Bruce...I didn't get to the actual lake to see Champy. My hometown is Plattsburgh which is the usual host for the NY side but they've had trouble securing a place if I recall.

I think the kid in that dio is actually hanging from a grab handle if I recall...the tyke in the turret is the kite holder I believe. Sorry for the rough photo angle but the tables were jam packed and I was being careful.
