BV 138 Flying Clog

Hi guys ! Thanks Mr T. , Bob . Ian, don't stretch it too far . :coolio For one thing it's not deep enough for a copy.
Mostly, it would be hard to replicate it from this point. Would have to plan from early on.
At this point, I just hope it looks like something once it's all together .

Just sprayed some hairspray on the bird. :blink Hoping I'm not destroying it.....could turn out to be more garbage :facepalm

Cheers, Christian B)

No-one could accuse you of not being brave, matey !!

Ian

You know, it's a fine line between brave and crazy. Not sure what side of the line I fell on. :idonno

Oh well, you only live once :popcorn Might as well go for broke . :pilot

Thank you Luiz .Creating those turrets was definitely exciting :fencing

Meanwhile I started coating the clog with hairspray last night and sprayed paint on it off and on all day.

Since I'm not a tank builder and I have no experience in that field, several idea were going round and round my head at the same time.

Some of them worked quite fine while others did work as well. Guess they'll have to be fixed.

The best part is that it didn't take the flight to the trash can yet.

Just laid a cat of gloss . It will need another tomorrow before the next assault.

And by the way, Y would now approach this paint job differently :fencing

Thank you Luiz, James and Chuck for the encouraging words . Not breaking any speed records but making progress none the less . :snoopy

After a day of hunting the clear pieces for the turrets that I had moved to a safe place.

And hunting high and low, they were discovered the next morning and glued onto the lower parts.

I had purchased a mask for this beast but alas it does not come close to the AM. bubbles....So, on the the Tamiya tape and some home brewed masking liquid.

Very trying process on the tape. Also my first try on the liquid and I am very happy with how it worked :good:

Came out great Chris, so what's the secret liquid masking fluid?

Not my invention, as I recently found it on another Webb site ( :tomato ).

Elmers's washable clear school glue . Add a small amount of food color. Peeled off better than any commercial products I have tried and way cheaper :D

Well it is very simple. I've been wondering for years why someone could not come up with such a product.
Now, some mad scientist in a secret laboratory has come up with a solution . :yipee

Not sure if it will stay good for long periods yet but I'll test it soon. :good:
