Had a build day with iambrb, aka Bruce. Since it's been many moons since I actually worked on anything I figured I would start on something new. While the kit molds are from the 70's with a slight face life at some point this kit is actually not horrible. The primary goal is COMPLETION! There for I'm keeping it as simple as I can...Mostly Out-of-the-Box. I will add a Black Dog resin set as well...:doh:But this isn't to bad either. So far I did some slight building but most everything in the photos is just dry fitting of the major components.

Paper Zimmerit? Interesting. These Tamiya kits fall in the category of "Old Tool, Still Cool" at my place.
It looks like fun so far! :soldier

Finished up the Zimmerit for the ol Bear. This is a great product and very easy to use. If Monroe Perpu offers a set for your build you can't go wrong in use this paper Zimmerit. A little trimming of the edges and some damage to the Zimm then on with the rest of the build.

That looks neat. Is it like card stock or more like paper and how was it to apply?

Monroe Perdu has been around for a long time. These are from a 2006 review of their Panther Ausf. G skirts:

... And diorama bases (OK, no more as you get the gist). This one is The Sunken Road:

Monroe used to post with us. Wonder if anyone would rattle his cage and share new stuff with us.

I still have the base I did with his well in a group build on here way back in another time.

Like my old SMA tshirt, “the goal is completion not perfection “

and yeah, “mostly” 😅
