I want to issue a up front apology to Richard Marchand , Joe Hudson , Dave Harper, Jose Azorin and Michael Bishop.

All you guys were assigned as Moderators on the old site and your ranks should have transferred to this site. I sent emails out to all moderators to make sure you were all here, but you didn't answer. Just because you didn't get he Moderators Emails from the New Site because I didn't assign you as Moderators on the new site doesn't mean you shouldn't sing out when you didn't get the email that you were suppose to get when I checked to see if you were getting moderators emails, even though you didn't have moderators rights to get those emails.

So I guess someone's going to say it's My fault you didn't get the emails I sent out that was asking you if you were not on the moderators list...

Sorry guys. No one was fired and I sure didn't mean to over look you all. IF anyone else is out there who was a moderator who is not a moderator now and who didn't get the moderators emails that I sent because....well. Let me know if I over looked anyone else please.

Also guys, let me know what forums you were over and I'll make sure you have those rights also. Thanks and sorry... :duh

And someone can report me to the Moderator if this is too silly..

Dave Dman Harper is set as Admin and by defualt that makes him a Moderator also. ditto for Jose. Double checked everyone's ranks and they are moderators. git'er done.

James I kid you not, I got this from a guy in our Corp support system today.
"Here is a link to the file you need but you do not have permissions to access this resource" or something to that effect. That one set me off so bad I had to email Laura to get her to calm me down!

I did Sys Admin, tech support etc for 6 years and I feel your pain. The one that drove me was one of my coworkers who would not help people. Our mail server crashed and we PA'ed it was offline, we would let everyone know when it came back. Took minutes and I was called away. Got back to desk in afternoon and checked email. There was his missive to the masses that the email server was up. I promptly PA'ed everyone it was working. Putz. He did more and thats when I left computers and went back to teaching.

i ROFLMAO'd so hard and for a considerable time about that mail! :laugh:

and to calm him down i told him a fine story i experienced some years back!

laura - "how much memory do you have in your server?"

colleague on phone - "a lot!"

laura completely puzzled, breathing in and breathing out and trying not to freak out

laura - "a lot!"

it reminded me of "life of brian!" ... "how much do you hate the romans?" - "a lot!"
