Beutepanzer KV-85

Piet

Well-known member
A KV-85 captured(from the russians) and pressed into German service ,
I started this model a long time ago so no built pics.

It is the Trumpeter KV-85 with the wrong shaped turret ,
I remodeled the turret to the correct version (symmetrical)

Also did all the welds (miliput) and the cast texture (Dremmrel tool ,dissolved plastic and paint thinner)
It will get a white wash.

Very nice Piet, but Tanker's Tangle is one of our Campaigns that requires a start up shot of the unbuilt kit for consideration into the campaign.

May I move this to our Armor section?

:D My mistake!
Please move it to the correct section.

What technique did you use to distress the white paint?

The hairspray technique ,
Decanted some hairspray in a container.
Rest it for a minute or 2 to get all the aerosol out......... and then i spray it on with the airbrush.

Let it dry ....than spray the white acrylic(Vallejo)on ,
When thats dry i moisture the surface ,then i start chipping with a tooth pick , old stiff brush and a toothbrush.
