BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940 CAMPAIGN STARTS AUG 1, 2011

I have heard some rumblings about having a "BATTLE OF BRITAIN" group build. This build will focus on the summer and autumn of 1940 when England was under attack by the Luftwaffe. So if you want to model the RAF "FEW" or the glory days of the Luftwaffe here's your chance. Invite you friends to join MA so they can get in on this one. You will need all the wingnuts you can find to get this one off the ground.

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

"So Few" Group Build??

I would be in for a 1:24 scale Spitfire only because I have some dry transfers for one. But this would have to be scheduled WAY out.

Is it the Airfix Spit?

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

Don't know, haven't got one yet. Only have the dry transfers, not the kit... :woohoo:
Got them by mistake a while back from a company that went out of business before I could return them. :idonno

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

At the moment, Trumpeter's is the best in 1/24th scale

Good deal Joe, hope it's going to be a long one with these big kits around.

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

Dont forget us non wingythingy builders

Figures Vehicles etc etc relating to BatofBrit are allowed too, ya ?

Also whats the possibility of encompassing the Blitz within the build too that would include AA guns RAF transport vehicles

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

oh well ... here too :) I had the idea of doing a small dio but I need the plane for it first. I don't commit now, cause if I commit to this too I'm afraid the other boogie B-2 wont be finished in time .... so may be have to sleep on it

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD

Re: "BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940" GROUP BUILD (7 PLAYERS)

I'll be in with a 1:32 Bf109E4 from Dragon as well. Heck, if I can manage doing a train for the first time, a plane can't be that difficult... can it?
