IIRC, this was Bantam's answer to the army's request for a 1/4 ton 4x4. Ford and Willys were in the competition and Willys won, I think the army really merged all 3 into the same design. Should have been the same size.

I ask because Noah Lacona, God rest him, served in the Korean War. He was restoring an M-38, but he mentioned seeking one of the smaller WWII vehicles designed for recon nicknamed a "Peep" that his Dad drove.
The Ford Pygmy and the Willy Quad seem not to fit Ol' Noah's description.

I think they are pretty much the same size.
The Bantams square fenders and rear corners make it look slightly bigger but the Willys is actually just a bit longer*
*if these kits are exactly to scale

Someone wrote a review of the Asuka/Taska 1/24 Bantam. Oh wait, that was me. Don't know if it survived the transition to the new site.
There was alot of backroom politics involved in the selection of the Jeep over the Bantam. Things that wouldn't pass muster in today's procurement processes.
