OK, I have procrastinated enough about joining this GB:

Last week I posted this tiny progress as I needed to get some parts ready to review the RB Barrel:

I may or may not use the RB Barrel.

Today I was working on the suspension when I saw some corrections needed to the turret bustle:

Later I will show what I have been working on since.

Before I show the mess I am creating, here is a quick comparison of the correctly dimensioned Centauro barrel from RB Barrels to the Trumpeter kit one. They are both at the same start on the left. As one can see the kit barrel is too short as the RB Barrel is based on actual dimensions provided to them.

Well, I cut off the rear stowage area as it was poorly defined and the wrong dimension:

Here it is compared to the stock item:

Now my attention is drawn to this section which is lacking the downward slope:

Oh boy! Lots of fun coming ahead!

A cancellation of my order for the Voyager Models detail set and replacement tires has me bummed but work will continue next weekend.

Regards,

Nice work so far, not sure how I missed your kickoff, like how you build Saul, very colorful...

I was just notified that one of the three products I ordered is back in stock... more to come then!

Test fit as I want to try turning the wheels. This is not so easy to do as I already glued a bit of the suspension on.

One of the problems of building two similar kits is mixing the instructions! I drilled out additional armor holes and added armor when I shouldn't so I had to undo it all.

I have plugged the holes with stretched sprue which was then cut off flush. Then added cyano-acrylate glue to fill the gaps. After marking everything with a blue permanent marker (to aid in gaging sanding progress), I covered it all in cellophane packing tape.

After one hour, I removed the tape. It is time to sand.

Sanding is complete.

Not much to show as I am trying to bring my Have Gun Will Travel Group Build entry up to the step I am here. I did order some updates from Lucky Model but who knows when they will arrive thanks to the Customs security measures.

Perhaps the AMPS show will let me pick up some new wheels. I will avoid LionRoar as the treads are not accurate. Maybe ET Model, ArmorScale, or Model Victoria?

Regards,

the reason why i overlook some of your updates is simply because i'm still baffled to actually see builds from you at last, i still have to adjust myself to that fact! ;)

your filling technique fascinates me every time i see it! lovely work!

The Centauro stuff arrived from Lucky Model and the cyano-acrylate glue is from Lowes Home Improvement store bought so I can get a free tree on Earth Day.
