Got some painting done this weekend. The way I'm doing to NMF is tricky. So I have to reverse engineer the main markings. I do this so contact with the NMF will be minimal. Also wanted to see if I could use my vinyl cutter to make the shark mouth. It's ok..need to do some touch ups before I apply the cover mask. Pics in no particular order.

Got all the mask off..I'm really happy the way the mouth turned out. Will need to do some touch ups here and there. Going to let it sit as is for a few days then do some stencils. The NMF was mainly model master with various gunze mr metal.

You doing that dry brush technique with the MM Lacquer?

Yes. I got alittle heavy handed in a few places. Its tricky to work with. Also elected not to fill the panel lines in the wings. Just didnt feel like messing with it.

Once you do the dry brush do you seal it in with what, Future?

No just a highly thinned mixture of Gunze mr color super chrome silver 2. I didnt thin it enough and covered up some of the dry brushing.

Ran into an issue with the decals. Nothing wrong with them other then they are super glossy. I usually don't add a gloss coat when I do my dry brushing as it will change the appearance of the sheen. I ended up doing a gloss coat adding the decals and sealing them in with another gloss coat.

After that I used alclad light sheen and a flat coat on the anti glare panel. Used a deep gray for the panel wash and various stains here and there.

Also the front glass got a light dusting of paint on the inside.. my mask job failed on the canopy somehow. Call it early morning condensation!! Lol
