Anyone else excited about the Eduard P-38J?

There's only 1500 of them...I could go the under $25 route...but it was the brassin I was interested in...

Well I guess we can wait till it the new wears off and Sprubrothers picks it up.

...or you can pick up the Academy kit for about $14 get the Eduard colour ZOOM set for about $7 and pick up the Brilliant Eagle Strike's "Lightnings in the sky" Part IV for about $3 and you have pretty much the whole thing for a smidgen under $25!

So the Eduard kit is repop of Academy?

Bob, it is a repop of the Academy kit. But it looks to fix just about everything that is wrong with the Academy kit. I will say that in my opinion the Academy kit is the best one out there right now. The Hasegawa has a bit more detail oob but it is a bear to put together. Has some nasty seam work to deal with. The Hasegawa kit is also the same price as this Eduard kit so you can't go wrong there. I for one will be buying one when it comes out via Spruebrothers.

I have digital copies of two different manuals from the war. They have some good stuff about the cockpit. I also have both of the detail and scale books in digital form. Not even sure where those came from lol. I also have all of my photos of the crashed P-38 that I went to here in Oregon. Lots of nice detail stuff that you don't usually see in those. Might have to creat some sort of sticky for those on here. Think I have about 200 pictures of it.

The Detail in Scale may be copyrighted material so we can't really make use of it. The manual is probably public domain and your pictures are more than welcome!

Yeah that is kind of what I figured Bob. I will work on those photos tonight since it will be to hot to sleep lol.

Wonder if it'll get here before I leave for VA on Sunday...went with priority mail since it was just a few cents more...

Well I already got ship notice, I expect it to be with me by Friday. Not sure what your experience with Brother Sprue is.

Left the sorting facility in Albany this morning which means its on a truck and will be in my hands this afternoon...tee hee...I'm giddy as a schoolgirl ;)
