Anniversary of the Halifax Explosion today!

Today is the anniversary of the Halifax Explosion, Dec. 6, 1917. There were a couple ceremonies around town, amazing that until the Trinity atomic bomb tests, it was the largest man made explosion in recorded history, and still remains the second largest accidental explosion.

Remember visiting a museum there that had sections on the Titanic and that explosion...pretty rich in all sorts of naval history...
