I started one years ago, the NMF crazed on me for some reason, bagged it. Really want to do one though. Looks swell so far Geoff. :popcorn

Everyone loves big jugs.

I did the same scheme many years ago with the Trumpeter P-47. Looking forward to your progress.

Looks excellent Geoff!

I have two big ones in my stash as well. A 1/32 Hasegawa that Eduard put out "Dottie-Mae", and a 1/32 Trumpy Razorback. I have always liked the jug.

Just a heads up on the photo size. I always edit mine and add text etc. The best size to keep the page from being a pain to download is 1280x960 or less. The large size photos kill tablet downloads

Thanks for that, will do so.

I'm perhaps overheated and overwhelmed by the heat of my work day. Are you building a 1/32 P-47D or a P-47N?
I cain't know! ZORN! :bm:

What is not to love? The Jug was and still is an iconic WW2 fighter. Some folks go all GaGa over the Spitfire or the P-51. Me? I read Thunderbolt in 5th grade and fell in love with the big fella. The Spit and the Mustang were elegant QB and running backs of the sky, while the P-47 was more like a linebacker (I'm thinking Dick Butkis or Ray Nitschke). (Yes, I am OLD) All power and fury.

BTW
Have you seen the Dora Wings P-43 Lancer?

I got a fondness for the razorback after I saw my first one at Harvey Young Airport in Tulsa many, many years ago. It had not been restored yet, and was just sitting there all green and worn. It was massive!
I always wondered what happened to that plane.

Never seen one in person. I took inventory today of my Trumpy with all the accessories I got with it. Watching this is getting me itchy.

NEAT!!! Zemke’s Wolfpack is one of my favorite books! Looks great and will be following!

I built the 1/24 jug when it was first in prototype stage for a guy over here that was having the whole thing manufactured from his own pocket. He sold them from his house :) I think he called himself VLS ? It was perfect for super detailing but pretty basic in kit form.
I have pictures if anyone is interested
