the instrument panel in the kit is not the same as what my bike had.
but its close enough

The kits instrument panel is the same as the european edition. Also, the Japanese and European versions had clip on style handlebars.
 
I noticed that, kinda sucks but its just easier to use the kit part

the kit part is different than mine but looks good enough for me.

Looking good, its s shame they put the join down the middle of the tank but with a little work you can lose it :) Is this Tamiya 1/12 ?
 
the front fender is also 2 parts like that, typical tamiya of the era lol not a big issue the glue itself squeezes out and fills it in . a bit of super glue and baking soda will finish it off later!

It looks great! Tamiya really excels doing the motorcycle kits. Even things not seen when finished is well represented. I think I need to get a couple of these myself!
