I do a 1/72 single engine aircraft once a year, just to remind myself how bad my eyes have. gotten.

Go for it Barney! I use an Optivisor for just about everything around the house.
Reading drug labels, building models, looking at small
that I used to be able to see a couple of inches from my face.
Thing is, I have used the Optivisor since my late 30's so no real difference except that now I can't focus on anything small closer than about 15 to 18 inches without it.
