1/700 USS Alexandria

Continuing the ships named for cities in Louisiana, here is progress on my USS Alexandria. The base is almost ready and I just need to paint the lower half of the hull red and screw brass.

Needing to get this one done for next Saturday’s club meeting. I must confess that I was terrified of airbrushing, not from using the airbrush, but from thinning the paint wrong. I bought some little bottles to mix the paint in and today was D-Day. It all worked out great.

Here is the red on the hull an a photo of the little bottles.

Nice! I do like the display. It seems you can even make it a wall mount for that beauty!

Turned out really nice Kenny! I like the way you mounted it, something really different from the usual run of the mill submarine mounting.
