Here is my Trumpeter 32 scale P-40N that I got as a gift from a friend. The whole kit went together rater well and I really had no issues until I came to putting on the decals. they disintegrated when I put them in the water. I coated the rest with clear lacquer but that didn't help, so I cobbled together some old decals from my stash and came up with this wiffer. Painted with Gunze acrylic lacquers and weathered with Mig washes and oils.

Very nice Paul, i like the Mig washes and effects but never got on with their paint.
Your P40 shows just what you can do with weathering , well done :).
 
It turned out quite well Paul! Sorry to hear you had decal problems, but glad to see you were able to fall back and punt.
