Well bob the big thing is trying to do the color scheme.

Well I dont think Ill go the scheme that I really wanted because try as I may, I just couldn't get the mask for the red spike to set just right and it was either too crooked or not centered enough. It would have looked like poop anyway.
She has her lipstick on anyway.

Wouldn't worry about the stripe Paul, as you know those squadron/group IDs developed during the war. the red nose was probably standard ID Marking and the stripe was added later for more style. Who's to say this bird always had the stripe?

Guess you've seen this?

Yep

The tail feathers and the glare panel are done and this is coming together nicely... sort of. Anyway, I know there are some spots that require some attention so I'll get those later.

No Bob, I don't. However, I do have her on her gams. I have always like the stance of a T-bolt.

Its kind of an anti-climax now. I do enjoy building these big things and am looking forward to my next one. I have an offer for the HKM B-25 for half of retail and I may go for that one.

Chick's decals and weathering should be done this week coming but in the mean time I have a P-3 to attend to.

I am calling her done now. What a kit and I learned something while painting. What to use and what not to use.
I was going to use the kits bar and star but they were hosed so for the fuse I use a couple of Mustang wing decals and for the wings I used a Corsair wing decal also. I had to eyeball the cut for the supercharger vent but it seemed as if it went on OK.

Oil was was used and I will do some more later as it dries well and then a flat sealer to lay those decals down better. I think if all goes well I'll put this in the clubs show and contest at the end of the month.

Half way through the photo shoot I changed the white balance to tungsten/incandescent. Let me know what you think.
