Icaerodesign 1/32 MiG 21 LanceR conversion

Thanks, guys! This is a dandy set- I'm a bit envious of 1/32 builders, as they get to cheat by using great big kit parts! ;) Painting the 1/48 cockpit was a real challenge- so many tiny switches and so forth! Side note: as I type this I can see the blinking beacon of an F-18 Growler flying...

    Trumpeter 1:200 Arizona

Trumpeter 1:200 Arizona (new photos 2-17) Paul, your problem-solving Kung Fu is strong indeed! I love the shot with the flashlight and straightedge- brilliantly simple. In fact, the whole hull correction shows how careful forethought can be distilled to a simple and practical solution. Nice...

    New "Release" from Eduard

Per Wikipedia, Condom is a town on the Via Podiensis, one of the three major French arms of the pilgrimage route, the Way of St. James. There is no relationship between the English word "condom" and this town. The toponym Condom comes from the Gaulish words condate and magos combined into...

    NATO's LanceR- a Romanian MiG 21MF in 1/48

Thanks, my friends! Sharkie, I've simply GOT to fix the seam on the engine opening- it's gonna be a bear to match the paint! Swordsman, You're a damn fine modeler yourself! Many thanks, pal. :) Side notes: Those grooves in the wing were for a fiber-optic lit version that was never...

    NATO's LanceR- a Romanian MiG 21MF in 1/48

Thanks, guys! It's a real relief to be able to get back to it. I've been struggling to revive my mojo since early December when I got the moving pod that had all my tools and the MiG in it (among a ton of other things.) It's a struggle to find our way here, but we're making progress. Moon...

    NATO's LanceR- a Romanian MiG 21MF in 1/48

Kapitan Andrea and I are back in gear! The move went well, and we're adapting to our new lives in a new home and anew place. I won't say it was entirely easy, but we've persevered. I was able to get back to the bench in early December, but this is the first time I've been ready to post again-...

    How to fix this?

Cure it with steel, as a surgeon friend says! Measure that raised bracket and make a new one. Cut the broken area off square, replace with styrene or basswood, putty, sand and replace the bracket. Nothing to worry about- you got this, dude.
