The Cap-Holder-O-Matic has a nautical look to it! I simply have to add some anchor ports to it with the anchors.

I have been following this manufacturer for a little bit and their stuff looks really nice. It is good to see that you think the same of their products. Yeah pricey but very well designed and made.Todays act of self indulgence saw the arrival of a hole drilling device know as a "drill"

Obviously its way to nice use so will find a place in my display cabinet soon
Seriously its variable speed and the black box power supply seems to boost the torque significantly at very slow speeds. chuck seems to be pretty near spot on although i haven't put a dial gauge on it yet, finish is excellent and chuck is 4mm. unit stands about 12 inch tall so very small
It also has reverse ??? why would you want to go in reverse on a drill ? left had holes maybe
I put quite a large order in with these people and all parts are in transit but all in separate boxes....no idea why![]()
Fill in holes?why would you want to go in reverse on a drill ?
Paddy, my father got one of the early Line-o-trace mills from Bridgeport to work on. Titan missile panels. He understood the usefulness but always said a good macinist didn’t need a f*ing computer. One of my stepsons works in a machine shop; I barely recognize and of the equipment.I have to say that the programming is what stopped me with CNC, it was being introduced at work as i retired but from my point of view it took away the skill of being a machinist and relaced with the skill of a programmer. A bit like a motor mechanic being confronted with am electric cari could see the value especially in large production runs but for us where we never made more than 100 of any part it was pointless TBH.. As a hobby it will be a great addition but the CNC might become the hobby, not the part you make
