1/48th scale Nashorn conversion to a Hummel.

I thick the gun is completed and I also added rifling to the inside of the barrel with a coarse screw that fit just right. Hope it shows up when painted silver. Now on to the rest of the kit. Gary S.

Making the two lift pistonS. This whole build, so far, has been a big SWAG. Saul helped with the overall barrel lengthy. Gary S.

    Pegasus 1/144 Nautilus

Neat subject. I remember when the movie came out. I was a little kid when our Dad too us to see it. Those green "eyes" were pretty scary. Gary S.

Thanks. I think I'll stay with what I have. Wouldn't want to start hacking on it now and screw it up. Gary S.

Turned out very nice!! I'm sure the Se5 will be just as impressive. Gary S.

A few more parts were added and the lift pistons are next. The gun is just placed a on the chassis. It might look totally acurate, but at least looks the part. Gary S.

Work on the gun is progressing. Need to make the crank on the left side and the elevating piston out front. So far so good. Gary S.

Some more progress on the gun assembly. Using parts from the Nashorn kit and bits and pieces I think I can achieve at least 80% accuracy. The photos and drawings have been a huge help. Gary S.

THANKS. Is that from the breech block to the end of tip of the barrel? And what is the measurement of the narrow part of the barrel and the thicker part? Gary S.

Barrel and breach dimensions would be great and much appreciated. I've been scrounging around my stuff and I think I found tubes suitable for a barrel. The 5.56mm rounds fit in the smaller tube. It needs to be cut down. Gary S.

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

The seat without the cut out is probably for the back seat. Your asking me to remember stuff from 55+years ago. I didn't mess with the seats. Gary S.
