    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

Both tracks are on and used a drop of crazy glue to get the proper track tension even though it mostly won't be seen. Also cleaning up tools and spare tracks. Managed to break off bow gun barrel in the process of installing the tracks.😕 Gary S.

    Heller 1/72 Feiseler STORCH Fi156/MS500

In the book "Band of Brothers", the guys said that when they went into Germany that they felt that they had more in common with the populace than with any other country. There's a really good Christmas WW II movie that's on UTUBE called "Silent Night". My great grandfather came from Hesse and...

    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

The painting is done and the ambush scheme is applied. I imagine that the guys that camped their tanks were just guys that just wanted to get the job done, go about their business of surviving the war and go home. Not some artsy fartsy modeler. l also took my razor saw and partially separated...

    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

The upper and lower hulls are glued together. The fit was pretty good. Before gluing the hulls a small screen was glued inside of a small opening. I think it's an engine air intake. Gary S.

    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

From what I understand, the earlier ones were a greenish gray on the lower surfaces and later were left in primmer color. Some were sent to the front in primmer allover or gray.

    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

The kit instructions said to place the six included rounds into the boxes under the turret. In my stash there was some extra round racks so I used them to in the hull sponsors visible thru the turret hatch. Three tips were painted white and three painted black to indicate from armor piercing or...

    Panther 1/48th scale by Bandai

First picture shows the massive size of the Panther's engine as compared to a 1/43rd scale GT 40 with a 427 engine. The engine is nicely done with most of it's detail unseen. Gary S.
