88mm FLAK 37 mit Behelfslafette

Frank...Wow!...that's some manual, thank you so much. I'm trying to build this one box stock, aside from replacing
the chain and adding some weld beads. Thought it would be a nice diversion from my ultra-tedious half track build.

But I'm sure I'll need it sometime, because I bought two!

Good evening, kind gents !

After some last touching up - broke somethings in the weathering proces - and a dot of paint here and there, Ceasar's ready to

go on the catwalk before going into his final resting place, a diorama that is, not the dust bin !

Maybe I didn't emphasize enough the quality of the DRAGON kit, it is exquisite. As I said before I'm not into artillery at all but I've

enjoyed building this kit enormously and was able to find a lot of reference on the net to make this build, without knowing

anything on the subject at all.

And here he is, hope you likes !

Look Mummy, there's an airplane up in the sky !

Up to the next phase: finishing that base and getting him up there, the little show off !

Very nice 88 Frank, great parting shot with the background! (y)

I'm with you on the artillery build, I did my 88 and really enjoyed it, lots of stuff you can tinker with building these things.

And my saliva falls on the computer's keyboard!
Should have closed my mouth sooner....

Ooh how I like to see this in the dio.

I know you know by now,Frank......but.... (y)

Greetings,Ron.

That is so nice- I built mine without the shield, good to see one with the full rig. An excellent kit that was very easy to build. I'm falling in love with the big guns.

@ James: Thank you very much for the compliment ! Very much appreciated.

@ Ron: You always motivate me with your kind replies, thanks !

@ MP: Thank you for the nice words, MP ! I'm also planning on building some Pak gun or whatever in the near future, but first

there's the Fall Figure Festival, I hope I make it before the closing date. I'm not the fastest modeler on the planet ! :S

@ Luiz: Too much honour, kind gentleman ! It means alot to get such a great compliment from you, thanks !

@ Kryptos: Really enjoyed the build and top marks for Dragon on this one. Thanks !

;)

Hi Arturius,

So glad you liked the picture, of course it is a real one. No tricks here !

To proof it I'll show you the ingredients: ;)

1 - A Flak

2- A picture of a landscape downloaded from the internet and printed on regular printing paper.

Put the picture behind the model, set up your camera at the right angle and you've got yourself a nice picture. Try it, it's real

fun.

I'm not an expert at all and to be frank I like the picture but if you look at it close you can tell there's something

odd about the perspective !

These are some other background photo's I use:

There was no copyright on the photo's so it's legal to use them, otherwise I'll take my own ones I guess !

Thanks for your nice compliment, Arturius,

;)
