GOOGLE MEET FOR MODELER'S ALLIANCE? Who is in?

@Steve Ski please post that link to the figure you shared. I only got a glimpse on my phone.
Here ya go, Bob. https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/mikes-28th-maori-bn-sgt-finished.55883/
After you take a serious look at Mike's work and you pull your jaw off the floor you realize this guy's got talent. Now, would I ever expect to reach that level? Only God knows, but I ain't gonna give up trying! I really don't care whether that happens, the journey is the fun part for me. If you ever think you've arrived, that's when you fall short, IMHO.
@Steve Ski
Posted a couple of the figures I've dabbled in below. It is an area I've wanted to play around in a bit more, but haven't found the time. The gal on the right is eventually going to be set on a base with the RX-7 I did a while back. Still needs to be finished (handbag & shading).

Excellent work, Chris, she's looking good and so is the lil feller. I've always said, it's just a matter of time and effort, crash and burn, start over, Ruck On!
Was a fun meet this morning .Enjoyed it.
James
I second, third, fourth, it,....... Great to meet the mob, good times!
What fun that was! James and Rich are treasure troves of RCAF anecdotes! I hope Ski wasn't too shocked by the faces of his M/A mates. Thanks guys for taking the time to connect.
No shock, yall are just as ugly as me, so I'm in good company, HA! Funny, my wife and I not long ago were looking over 40yr class reunion pics and wondering, "Dang, do we really look that old?" YUP!😯🤪

Sorry you all had to see my usual grungy Saturday morning look! While there is a local club here in Memphis, MA is the group I have always enjoyed being around. I especially enjoy working on a model while visiting. Saúl was a little on the quiet side this morning compared to last month, but it is good to have everyone show up.

Bob I went and bought a decent Logitec camera for doing these video calls a couple of years ago and it was well worth it. My notebook has a camera in it, but it is fixed and a lot less flexible for doing these meets than the Logitec cam I have. That can was nothing to install and set up.
Plug in the USB, select the hardware and BINGO, it works just fine.

I'm bad at names , so apologies. Yes we could carry napalm, BLU-1, BLU-27. My bad, I just dont remember ever seeing it. Then again I dont remember a lot of things now adays.
James
@helios That would have been Chris building the CF-104 in a CAS role (which boggles my mind to think of it).

Thanks Paul, yeah I got several camera options. This seems to be more Win11 vers permissions and Chrome issue. I suspect it's Win11 being the little bitch that it is.

Yeah, I have kind of read some things that really made me hold off on Win11. I turned off the hardware on my desk machine that Win11 needed on the motherboard to be able to load so that issue isn't coming up until I let it happen. Had to do other things to my notebook to prevent Win11 loading and it is solid and stable with Win10.

In the interest of our devoted Australian brother, I'm considering scheduling the next meeting later in the day. 7:00-10:00 PM CST maybe.
Nice! What time would that be for @Duke Maddog?
Paul a coffee that day won't kill you!

I will try to find an ancient webcam at the hospital or, simply buy one at a thrift shop with the last resort being Amazon. No more nude modelling I guess!

Tim A and I had a long phone visit this morning about his Panzer III and a bunch of other things. Enjoyed that greatly. Enjoy visiting while building and end up sharing all kinds of tid bit build stuff in the process.

I do tea and just realized Chris said PM not AM. I get that he has been trying to make it feasible for the Euro guys, but they are not participating so ....

Hey Chris, the start time has been 11.00pm for me, which is fine. Currently, with daylight savings started here it will change to 12.00am - I can live with that-the majority are North American time, so I should fit with you guys. 1am is starting to push it but I can cope with 12am start.

I bumped the time forward 11 hours. Are you quite sure?
